Film scores are usually written once the edit is done. Leone worked the other way round: Morricone composed the music before the shoot, and it was played on set. The actors performed with the theme in their ears, and Leone timed his shots to the music. In some scenes of those films, the images move to the music's measure.
La música de cine suele escribirse cuando el montaje ya está terminado. Leone lo hizo al revés: Morricone compuso la música antes del rodaje y se tocaba en el plató.
