Sokurov moved through the Hermitage in a single take: no cuts, a whole army of actors and extras, a camera advancing from hall to hall. Step through a doorway and the century changes, and you only notice it from the costumes. Victoria follows one night on the streets of Berlin without a cut; everything that happens to a girl leaving a club, until morning, unfolds in real time.
Sokurov recorrió el Hermitage en un solo plano: sin cortes, un ejército de actores y figurantes, una cámara que avanza de sala en sala. Al cruzar una puerta cambia el siglo, y solo se nota por el vestuario.
