There are four stops in this room. The first is cinéma moudjahid: films the state supported after independence, telling the war — this country's Palme d'Or came from there. The second is the state and criticism; in the seventies the camera left the war, entered the city and began filming everyday life. The third is the black decade: the internal conflict of the nineties and the few films that could be made in those years. The last is the present.
En esta sala hay cuatro paradas. La primera es el cinéma moudjahid: películas que el Estado apoyó tras la independencia y que contaban la guerra; de ahí vino la Palma de Oro de este país. La segunda es el Estado y la crítica: en los setenta la cámara salió de la guerra, entró en la ciudad y empezó a filmar la vida cotidiana. La tercera es la década negra: el conflicto interno de los noventa y las pocas películas que pudieron hacerse en esos años. La última es el presente.
