Dos personas separadas por la guerra vuelven a encontrarse en el mismo edificio sin reconocerse, y la película hace de ello velocidad en lugar de tragedia. Tsui Hark usa la ciudad como un escenario, y con cada puerta que se abre y se cierra la comedia se rehace.
