Panahi's world is built from enclosed spaces: a taxi, a flat, the inside of a car, a village road. That enclosure is not a choice but the condition itself; after being banned from filmmaking he fitted cinema into the spaces left to him.
El mundo de Panahi se construye con espacios cerrados: un taxi, un piso, el interior de un coche, un camino rural. Ese encierro no es una elección sino la condición misma; tras la prohibición de rodar, encajó el cine en los espacios que le quedaban.

He deliberately erases the line between fiction and documentary. He plays himself, real people speak to the camera, staged scenes look like recordings. The uncertainty is both a style and a protection: nobody can say where the film begins or ends.
